About Max Vishnev

This will not be your typical agent bio page. I don’t want to start with real estate, because we are all much more than the occupations and titles in our email signatures or business cards. I want to begin by sharing a few personal things about me. First and foremost, I am a happily married father of two incredible kids (who are growing up very fast!). I love spending time with my family — sitting down for a family meal, hikes in nature, traveling and camping together. I enjoy cooking dinner, baking sourdough bread, practicing my piano skills, walking my dog, cycling, skiing, yoga, photography, and anything that involves spending time in nature or with people I care about. I’m also an avid reader (mostly non-fiction) and consider myself a student for life.

My professional life has been a winding road. I started my career working for Morgan Stanley in Midtown, Manhattan, then built and operated a NYC walking tour business, and later became a NJ Realtor® in 2019. I have a broad range of experience and knowledge, and I think that is a big part of my success today — from my ability to analyze and present complex data in easy-to-understand ways, to my strong skills as an adviser, negotiator, and problem-solver. But ultimately, the main reason that I’ve been able to help many clients achieve their real estate goals and dreams over the last 7 years is that I care. I don’t do this work just for the commission check. I aim to build trust and rapport with my clients through active listening, empathy, a real understanding of their needs, concerns, and motivations, and by keeping their best interests in mind. My goal is to build a client relationship as a trusted real estate advisor. I think this mindset helps explain why the majority of my real estate business has come from repeat clients and client referrals.

Real Estate Achievements:

I’ve sold about $75,000,000 in NJ real estate (closed sales volume, buyers and sellers) since 2020, across nine counties in Northern and Central NJ, including: Hudson, Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Union.

I’ve received the NJ REALTORS® Circle of Excellence Sales Award five years in a row; 2021-2025.

I am also the Co-Team Lead of The VIP Team at COMPASS RE, the #1 brokerage in the U.S. four years in a row, based on RealTrends closed sales volume.

Education:

I received my BBA from Baruch College, CUNY and my MBA from Stern School of Business, New York University. I also had the good luck to spend a semester in Barcelona, Spain, attending IESE Business School.
